2014 Update

It's been a busy year and the holiday season is almost upon us. Fernances Creek Farm has undergone a transition in the past year and has expanded its facilities. We have completed our new Clubhouse and can now offer our event guests a comfortable place to relax and enjoy lunch. The facilities are also available for overnight campers and visiting Clubs and Instructors. Please contact me on fernancescreek@gmail.com if you would like to hire our facilities. If you would like to train individually on our cross country course, you must be accompanied by an instructor with current insurance. This can be a Pony Club, Adult Riding Club, EFA, NCAS or other qualified instructor.

Our cross country course now goes up to 95cm and has 74 jumping efforts. There are a few pre-novice jumps. Next year we will be expanding our course adding an additional 5 acres. There will be a stair climb up the big hill near the Homestead, a sunken road and a number of preliminary jumps and feature jumps. You can see the jumps in the photo section of our Fernances Creek Facebook and on our website.

Events

In 2014, we had a number of Events:

The Andrew Barnett Clinic was a great success. Andrew is a very successful show jumper and has moved across to eventing at a three star level. We liked him so much, we invited him to come back for our next event.

A Jump in the Vines 2014 with Charlie Brister and Andrew Barnett. It was a great event and these instructors are wonderful and we hope to have them back in the future.

The Craig Barrett Clinic got fantastic feedback and was inspiring to watch. Craig is a 4 star eventing winner and has represented Australia. He has been a long time favourite coach of our family and we loved having him here.

Xmas Showjumping and Cross Country Ride marks the end of the year and is meant for fun and relaxation. Our local (sort of) instructor Nic Chippenfield will be here for a cross country and show jumping ride. Everyone will bring a plate and their favourite beverage and have a social afternoon.

In 2015, we have a number of events planned. Entries will open in January for A Jump in the Vines 2015. This will be an action packed day of showjumping and eventing with Craig Barrett and Tarsha Hammond followed by our signature gourmet lunch and wine tasting. .Both Craig and Tarsha are four star riders and coaches. If you want to sharpen you skills and have a wonderful relaxing day, this is the event to come to. Entries will be on nominate.
