Water Jump Construction at Fernances Creek




The new water jump at Fernances Creek is underway. Lots of planning, sweat and tears. The tears came on the weekend when I stood in a green ant nest!

Purebred Haflinger Geldings for Sale

Fernances Creek Haflinger Stud have three lovely geldings for sale. We have just had three new fillies and want to make some room in the paddock. All of the horses are purebred and were bred on our farm. Aragon - 4 years old We call him King Aragon because he has that "look at me" presence about him.  He has been halter and float trained. He has beautiful movement and will make a excellent riding or carriage horse. He is 4 years old and is approximately 14 hands tall. He is out of our stallion Aaron and our mare Rosebrook. Painting Showjumps, how exciting.....not!

Well, I finally splashed out and purchased an entire showjumping course to use at home. We got the jumps from Kiaglen in NSW. They are metal showjumps with 2 sets of cups. They have a metal finish but I am having them spray painted in sets of blue, red, yellow and green. I purchased 40 pine poles that have been treated. I have started with a allinone white primer and basecoat and then followed up with a second coat. It was going really well until I put the painters masking tape and started my coloured strips. I was so excited to open the blue and red paint and start painting, only to discover that the paint bled into the white. I was shattered!!! I asked a few people that had done it and no one seemed to have the problem...except me. I traded in my painters tape for the more expensive blue tape and it seems to have reduced the bleeding. I still have problems where there are tiny cracks underneath the tape but I don't mind touching that up. Anyway, 10 down and 30 to go. Now that t...
