Fernances Creek Aragon starts x country training

The past few weeks have been busy at Fernances Creek. Both Aragon and Rosebrook have been to two eventing clinics. The first one was with Emma Mason and our trainer Lyndel Taylor rode Aragon. It was amazing to see how well he went, out jumping and showing more courage than the other big horses in our group. He quickly become the lead pony for all of the others. Lyndel has done a great job with Aragon and he truly looks like he is enjoying himself. For the first time ever, I rode Rosebrook in my first ever, x country clinic. I had a great time and jumped everything but have the grace of a tank. Everyone has assured me that I will get better. No photos please!

The past weekend, I drove Rosebrook and Aragon to attend Belinda Bailey's clinic in Wingham. Lyndel couldn't go so her friend Sophie rode Aragon and I rode Rosebrook. Aragon jumped everything and he seemed to really enjoy Sophie riding him. Again, I have no grace but I think I surprised everyone by jumping some drop offs and a ditch and all of the other jumps. I had some serious fun and I can't believe I have not tried this before. I have always been the strapper and driver for my daughter Steph. I must say, after attending all of the lessons with Steph, some of the information has stuck with me. Looking forward to the next clinic. I know it must have been a real laugh for Belinda and Emma but they were great and I am glad I had a go.
