Success with A Jump in the Vines at Fernances Creek
The Fernannces Creek Haflingers and all of the visiting haflingers had a great time as well as a few thoroughbreds at the Jump in the Vines!
On Saturday June 4th, Fernances Creek held it's first "Jump in the Vines" showjumping day. The day featured three time World Champion instructor, Jeremy Inglis who provided an excellent clinic to the riders. The riders varied from novice to advanced and Jeremy had them all jumping confidently by the end of the lesson. A few of the riders only expected to do a few trot poles and surprised themselves by learning to jump a course.
After the morning lesson, we had an excellent three course lunch on the verandah overlooking the vineyard and a taste or several tastes of the Fernances Creek Sangiovese Brunello wine. Afterwards, there was another session with Jeremy. The event finished about 4:30 and everyone had a great time. Thanks to Jeremy for the excellent instruction and our friend Phil Janson for the photography which will be up on the website and on the blog this week.
Next year, the jump in the vines willl include a showjumping and also a cross country training component on our new cross country course. We really enjoyed meeting all the new people.
