What's new at Fernances Creek Farm

What's new at Fernances Creek Farm

I have been meaning to update my blog for some time now and thanks to a little breathing space, I'll try to update you. Today the breeding season for Nutella is officially over as the last of the visiting mares went home.  He is feeling a little sorry for himself now and is even gazing at the cattle with a kind eye.

We have had a very successful breeding season with an overwhelming number of filly foals being born.
We are getting a taller and more athletic foal but still under 15 hands tall. Yesterday we were out playing in the paddock with a three month old filly and found out what she liked to do for fun. She did this a few times and we were awestruck.

Over the past year, we have steadily been working to enhance our facilities. The Club House now has many creature comforts and many of them were tested out over the Australia Day Weekend at the Andrew Barnett Clinic. Click on the Facebook link below and check out the cross country and show jumping action and the new facilities. 35 riders and lots of friends and spectators were there to enjoy the  wonderful instruction by Andrew and the relaxed atmosphere. At the end of day one, we had a Fun Sixbar with prizes. Thanks to our sponsors Ride-n-Shine, Storm Park and Fernances Creek Wine for the wonderful prizes and support. If you would like to hold a clinic or event at Fernances Creek Farm contact us.

Watch out for our next big event, A Jump in the Vines. We have an new exciting new format, followed by a competition. Friend  Fernances Creek on Facebook and like our Fernances Creek Farm page.
Talk soon! Sharon
