Fernances Creek Haflinger Stud

Introducing our first filly Fernnaces Creek Rainshadow out of Nutella and Rosebrook. She will have that dark, beautiful colour from Nutella and she has a lovely upside down raindrop on her forehead, hence the name Rainshadow. Well, I finally splashed out and purchased an entire showjumping course to use at home. We got the jumps from Kiaglen in NSW. They are metal showjumps with 2 sets of cups. They have a metal finish but I am having them spray painted in sets of blue, red, yellow and green. I purchased 40 pine poles that have been treated. I have started with a allinone white primer and basecoat and then followed up with a second coat. It was going really well until I put the painters masking tape and started my coloured strips. I was so excited to open the blue and red paint and start painting, only to discover that the paint bled into the white. I was shattered!!! I asked a few people that had done it and no one seemed to have the problem...except me. I traded in my painters tape for the more expensive blue tape and it seems to have reduced the bleeding. I still have problems where there are tiny cracks underneath the tape but I don't mind touching that up. Anyway, 10 down and 30 to go. Now that t

Scarlet has surprised us all. We took her to pony club to try an E grade course and she blitzed it! We then took her out for a jumping day and she made 85 cm look easy. Impressed with how she was going, we took her to Hidden Valley for to try the Newcomer cross country course. She jumped the Newcomer and the Intro course with no problems at all.
